SMAN Model Terpadu Bojonegoro cooperates with ExxonMobil Cepu Limited and Noovoleum hold an event called “Fun English Day” which is attended by the chosen students from 10th, 11th and 12th grade. The participants are around 90 students, who received a package of school kit, totebag and a T-shirt from ExxonMobil.
This event is held to improve students’ ability in English. It is expected that students’ interest in English will be increasing and feel more challenging.
Generally today’s agenda is sharing session with Mr. Chris Green from U.S. Consulate. This is a rare and unrepeatable opportunity for students to speak directly with the native speaker. The participants are really enthusiastic! They could freely practice speaking English in front of the class. Moreover, everyone who bravely comes forward and conveys their idea about the topic which is discussed will get a bonus! that is various merchandises from ExxonMobil.
The most exciting part is the Question and Answer session, which must be nailed by all participants. Here, the ones who give questions to Mr. Chris will also get a special present. That’s such kind of fun English learning activity that I ever know.
One of the participants from 12th grade Aura Balqis Cleo N. gives her impression about this event “Today, at “Fun English Day” I really enjoyed it, I got new knowledge about other countries. On this activity, I could test my listening skills because the resource person is a native USA. Of course I really like the merchandise given to me by the Noovoleum and ExxonMobil team the point is that so fun for today, I hope activities like this always exists at our school❤️”
At the last Mr. Chris gives motivation to all the participants “English is the language of the world. Bersemangat! Keep trying and keep learning!”
